The Patient in Pyjamas
The Patient in Pyjamas
Stories of unusual goings-on at the infamous former Whitecroft Hospital abounded long before it was renovated into the housing complex which occupies the site today. A nurse coming to the end of her night shift early one morning dutifully wheeled the used linens to the laundry, having changed the bedding and put the patients back to bed in preparation for the staff changeover. As she passed the wash basins in the corridor, she noticed an elderly man in a pink and beige striped pyjama jacket staring vacantly at his own reflection in the mirror. Confused that not only had she left all of the patients in their beds just moments before, but also that she did not recognise him and that he strangely seemed to be missing his trousers, she glanced back again a moment later but the figure had vanished and she found herself alone in the corridor once more.
Our large ghost figurines measure approximately 8cm tall and are hand-made with care on the Isle of Wight thought to be the most haunted island in the world. Each ghost is completely unique and features an Isle of Wight shaped base and comes with a story card. Matt finish. Please note that by virtue of the hand-making and finishing process, minor imperfections and colour variations may be present. These are normal and add to the character of each spirit, with each one being a true one-of-a-kind.
