The Wight Ghost Emporium
Eurydice
Eurydice
Swathes of pale blue encased in ashen white, gilded in tarnished metal and flecks of antique gold, as if rusted by the sea, Eurydice is reminiscent of the many ships to have met their end along the Island's treacherous coastlines. Caught in a freak snowstorm off of the east coast of the Isle of Wight one fateful day in March 1878, the HMS Eurydice capsized and sank beneath the waves, taking more than three hundred souls with her. Eerie sightings of a ship matching the description of HMS Eurydice, travelling under full-sail, have often been reported over the decades from the cliffs and bays nearby.
Our large ghost figurines measure approximately 8 cm tall and are hand-made with care on the Isle of Wight, thought to be the most haunted island in the world. Each ghost is completely unique and features an Isle of Wight shaped base. Matt finish. Please note that by virtue of the hand-making and finishing process, minor imperfections and slight colour variations may be present. These are normal and add to the character of each spirit, with each one being a true one-of-a-kind.
